Is there a comic where Batman hired to kill superman?

I thought I read somewhere that there was a comic book that had superman going around the world disarming all nukes because one blew up in metropolis and it killed lois. Then when superman was trying to destroy one of the U.S. nuclear submarines, there were people on it and they refused to evacuate the submarine. Superman destroyed it and then the U.S. government declared war against superman. They hired multiple heroes to kill superman. (because he got more evil or something) Then when all else failed, they hired batman to take out superman. Is this a real comic or did I just randomly make this up in my head??
