Why is this gel making my hair look greasy?

I use Axe gel, so its not a cheap rip off brand.But whenever i put in even the slightest amount it makes my hair really shiny and greasy looking, even when my hair isnt greasy at all. What can i do to make it NOT greasy??!! thanks
