I have neck pain what should I do?

I woke up with this terrible pain in my neck it is a sharp stabin pain it is in the back right side of my neck I Han move my head up and down and look left with minimal pain but when I look even the slightest bit to the right it feels like my neck is about to crack if you have ever cracked you neck but it wont crack and it's a verry sharp pain what should I do I took some ibprophin and I had ice on it for a while but it didn't really help
