Why doesn't the U.S. simply disarm Iran before it becomes nuclear capable?

Well lets see, George Bush did that very thing to Iraq, and the left has been howling about it ever since. so why is it a good thing now? Of course it is a great idea, but remember/ Everybody wants the USA to let those peaceful muslims alone.
