Question: why does the US get to dictate nuclear weapons policy for Israel when Jews are the ones who invented?

Firstly, the people on the Manhattan Project were American and built the atomic bomb for the US; just because they were Jewish doesn't mean they were Israeli. Secondly, the US controls Israel's nuclear weapons because the US basically let Israel borrow American bombs since virtually every country surrounding Israel hates it. Thirdly, the US doesn't even have its own nuclear weapons policy, it follows the Nuclear Weapons Policy of the United Nations.
