Is there any major construction projects going on?

There is lots of talk, but very little funding, so nothing this year or next. I think most of last years projects are slowing down or on hold due to the economy world wide. Even the idle talk seems to be fading for space based solar power, terriforming Mars or Venus, the space elevator. hypersonic passenger planes, towing icebergs harnessing the Gulf Stream or Yellowstone National Park.
