Do you have to be over 16 to buy Red Bull?

I have heard you have to be 16 to purchase Red Bull, but has the law changed ir something because all my friends buy Red Bull and they are 14 (~im 14 too~) and why do you have to be a certain age anyway?? Its not alcohol lmao haha :P <3 xx
